This was a great cycle overall. Juuust a bit boring in a couple of sessions (not that much diversity), but there aren't that many alternatives of exercises for squat and pulling strength. So all is OK from my end. I also documented the whole process on my ytb channel, so everybody can see my progress. At 38, I managed to hit new PR numbers in Front Squat, from 102.5kg to 115 kg, and in Back Squat from 125kg to 130kg. However, for Deadlift, I had to stop, because of a small knee inconvenience. I am guessing that I pushed too hard in the Squat session and I probably needed to focus only on Back Squat and leave the legs to rest a bit, then go further to Deadlift. Great 6-week training, I also shared my positive feedback on my channel. Now, some good ol' functional fitness for me, and in autumn, start another cycle from Torokhtiy. This is a solid program I used for wrestling training, within a short period I noticed an increase in explosive power and strength. I was quicker in closing distance and faster in general. Having a program is much better than aimless training for strength and conditioning.
I wouldn't have imagined that in my fifties I could improve my mobility so much and in such a short time. Thank you!
I am a 53-year-old man. Many years without any exercise.
When I started the Overhead Mobility program, I scored 11 out of 15 on the program's mobility test. Four weeks later, I was halfway through the program, and I scored 14/15. Nog I'm ready to train more fully in the gym.
I still have a few more exercises to do, but I can already say that the program keeps what it promises!
I have been practicing only at home.
The exercises are very varied, which makes the sessions enjoyable. In general the sessions take about 60-75 minutes, which is a good thing because you don't need a lot of time to do them.
For me it was great. It's been years since I've done bench presses. And my RM went up by 15 kg. As for the squat and deadlift, it went well but not as well as the bench press. But I improved my marks a bit.
