Excellent primer

The week before my first weightlifting competition, I did not know what to expect from the day. I was fortunate to find this book and it walked me through everything I should expect from myself, my coach, the judges and overall logistics of the day.

It also helped to learn about the appropriate mindset one should have going into competition.

Really helpful

I really enjoyed this and it is suitable for beginners movie towards their first competition or for novices with some experience that are moving to higher standard competitions. Also , it could be used as a refresher for more experienced lifters as a reminder of best practices. I think the reason it is so good is that it is based on Oleksiy’s own experience of very high level international competition and that there are someful helpful Top Tips based on his successful competitions.
