Morris Hampton Miller got 3rd place in the Clean & Jerk at the IWF Grand Prix II in Doha

The men’s 61 kg division brought some surprises and excitement to the event, even though less than half of all lifting attempts were successful. During the third day of the World Cup in Doha, we managed to witness some surprises, both on the podium and during the clean-and-jerk and snatch events as well.

One of those was Hampton Miller Morris from the United States of America, who managed to get third place in the clean-and-jerk competition, but ultimately, his snatch attempts failed him, and in total, he was only able to reach 5th place with 292 kg.

During the event yesterday, he managed to record a snatch attempt of 132 kg, an improvement from his outing at the World Championship in Riyadh, where he failed to lift a single attempt. In the clean-and-jerk, he took the bronze with 170 kg, even though he tried to go for 174 kg twice, but both attempts were unsuccessful.
