2024 IWF European Championships: Oliwia Drzazga won Silver in The Women’s 49 kg Category

The 2024 IWF European Championships just started, and they’re already giving us unexpected results and a real battle for the podium spots.
This was no different in the women’s 49 kg event, one of the first ones to kick start the competition in Sofia, Bulgaria.
One of the athletes who had a great day was Oliwia Drzaga from Poland, who managed to win the silver medal for the event. She began shakily, only lifting 74 kg on her final snatch attempt.

However, she managed to recover during the Clean & Jerk as she lifted 96 kg on the final attempt, which was enough to get her a total of 170 kg and the silver medal for the lift and the silver medal for the event overall.
Prior to this competition, Oliwia was crowned the U17 European Champion, and she also won a silver medal at the U17 World Championships.
