This was no different in the women’s 49 kg event, one of the first ones to kick start the competition in Sofia, Bulgaria.

One of the athletes who had a great day was Oliwia Drzaga from Poland, who managed to win the silver medal for the event. She began shakily, only lifting 74 kg on her final snatch attempt.
