Thankfully, Duygu managed to compose herself, and for her third lift, she got 78 kg, which was enough to give her the silver medal for the snatch, as she finished behind only Mihaela Valentina Cambei from Romania. Unfortunately for Alici Duygu, her performance in the Clean & Jerk was not good enough, and she didn’t even manage to get inside the top 5 for the overall ranking.

Prior to this competition, Alici used to be a part of the 55 kg division, and in 2022 she lifted 80 kg in the Snatch, and 105 kg in the Clean&Jerk event for a total of 185 kg during the Turkish Senior Weightlifting Championships.
