Adashbaeva Rigina Won Three Silver Medals at the 2024 IWF Asian Championships

Day 6 at the 2024 IWF Asian Championships and Adashbaeva Rigina from Uzbekistan showed consistency all around in the 81 kg female category, by consistently placing second in Snatch, Clean and Jerk and in the Total, let’s go through a review of her performance.

In the Snatch session Adashbaeva started with a 104 kg lift for her first attempt that resulted in a good lift, then went up to 107 kg for her second attempt but she didn’t manage to stabilize the lift overhead and failed it forward.

Then she tried the same weight for her third attempt and got a good lift, giving her the second place and a silver medal for the Uzbekian team.

For the Clean and Jerk session Adashbaeva Rigina started with 127 kg for her first attempt, then went up to 131 kg for her second, both resulting in good lifts, and finished her session with a 136 kg Clean and Jerk that she made look easy, giving her the second place just 4 kg behind Kim Suhyeon.

For the Total Adashbaeva got a score of 243 kg, 11 kg behind the first place and 5 kg ahead of the third place. These three silver medals are proof that Adashbaeva Rigina deserved to be on the platform and competing against the best in the region.

Adashbaeva Rigina has had a career full of good performances, such as placing seventh in the Total at the World Championships in the 87 kg category in September 2023, and fourth place in the total at the Asian Championships in the 81 kg category in 2022.
