Reeves Olivia won bronze In Snatch and C&J at the 2023 IWF Grand Prix

On the Seventh day of the 2023 IWF Grand Prix II weightlifting competition in Doha, American Reeves Olivia amassed bronze in Snatch and Clean & Jerk in the 71 Kg women’s category.
Snatch Performance
Reeves Olivia’s performance in Snatch won the hearts of many fans. Having won a bronze each in Snatch in the 71 kg women’s category of the 2023 Pan American Championship and 2023 World Championship, she came to this competition with a winning mentality.
She won the bronze medal on her third attempt. In her first attempt, she lifted 106 kg. In her second attempt, she lifted 113 kg. In her third and final attempt, she lifted 115 kg —the highest and her personal best for the session. In the process, she broke the Junior World Record.

Her previous Snatch results on major events were:
- 2023 Pan American Championship – 108 kg
- 2023 World Championship – 111 kg
She won the bronze medal in both her final attempts.
Clean and Jerk Performance
Reeves Olivia maintained her winning mentality in Clean and Jerk, where she added a bronze to her medal collection. She began with 140 kg and then lifted 144 kg. Her third and final attempt was 147 kg, achieving the best record in her career.
Compared with her last outings in Clean and Jerk at the 2023 Pan American Championship and World Championship, she won a Gold and Silver medal in her final attempts at 139 kg and 142 kg, respectively.
Perhaps Reeves secret recipe for success lies in her third attempt.
General Performance
As a result of her outstanding overall performance, Reeves earned a bronze medal in Total. She lifted 262 kg, her career personal best.

- 2023 Pan American Games – 258 kg – Gold
- 2023 Pan American Championship – 247 kg – Bronze
- 2023 World Championship – 258 kg – Bronze
About Reeves Olivia
Born in 2003, Reeves Olivia is an American weightlifter with a burning desire for success.
She collected a gold medal in the 71 kg women’s category at the 2021 Junior World Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent. She also amassed a gold medal in the 76 kg women’s category at the 2021 Junior Pan American Games in Columbia.
With the 2024 Olympics in Paris on the horizon, Reeves will be gunning to make it there and perhaps take the global stage by storm. Her spectacular performance in this competition will give her an edge over her American contenders.
