During day 7 of the European Championships, we were able to witness the spectacle of the women’s 81 kg category, where some of the best female lifters were battling for the top podium spots.
For Dilara Narin from Turkey, this was a successful trip to neighboring Bulgaria, as the Turkish lifter managed to showcase great form and claim the final podium spot.
Her first attempt on the Snatch was unsuccessful, but thankfully, she managed to gather herself and lifted 97 kg on the second one, which wasn’t enough to give her a medal for the movement, but put her in a good position to fight for a podium spot.

On the Clean & Jerk, she started well, lifting 125 kg right off the bat and finishing in the third medal for the movement. With a total of 222 kg and a bronze medal for one of the lifts, Dilara won her second bronze medal from a European Championship, matching her accomplishment from 2022.
Other memorable moments from her career include a gold medal from the Islamic Solidarity Games in 2021, a silver medal from last year’s European Championships, and a gold medal from the 2022 Junior World Championships.
