The second day of the Asian Weightlifting Championship in Tashkent became remarkable due to new memorable performances and personal bests among the lifters from Men’s 61 kg of Group A.

The leader was Pak Myong Jin got three gold medals in Snatch at 134 kg, Clean & Jerk at 172 kg, and 306 kg in total.

The second spot and the silver medal moved to a weightlifter from Indonesia, Ricko Saputra who showed today 291 kg in total, 130 kg in Snatch, and 161 kg in Clean & Jerk.

Bronze was won by Trinh Van Vinh from Vietnam: he snatched 129 kg, 161 kg in Clean & Jerk, and a total of 290 kg.

The second day in Men’s 61-kg weight class brought the ultimate leader in two exercises, Pak Myong Jin who won gold with an incredible gap of 15 kilos ahead of the second place.

The 61-kg weight class winner Pak Myong Jin lifted 134 kg in Snatch, and 172 kg in Clean & Jerk, resulting in 306 kg in total. He had 3 3-kilogram cushion behind his rival from North Korea and an 11-kilogram gap against his contender from Indonesia.

Speaking about the silver medalist Ricko Saputra from Indonesia resulted in 291 kg, 130 kg in Snatch and 161 kg in Clean & Jerk.

The bronze holder became the lifter from Vietnam Trinh Van Vinh: he did 129 kg in Snatch on the second attempt, 161 kg in Clean & Jerk on the third try with two prior failed attempts, and 290 kg in total.
