Day 5 of the 2024 World Weightlifting Championships delivered an exciting showdown in the Men’s 81kg category, with Ri Chong Song emerging as the clear winner.

The snatch session saw a close contest, with Ri Chong Song narrowly edging out the competition. His 166 kg snatch secured gold, just ahead of Uzbek Mukhammadkodir Toshtemirov with 165 kg.

Kazakhstan’s Alexey Churkin followed closely, clinching bronze with 164 kg, setting the stage for an intense clean & jerk session.
