WWC 2023, Day 10 – Men’s 102 kg Results: China leads again, while Qatar failed to get on the podium

The 10th day of the WWC Qualifying competition in Riyadh impressed us with insane lifts in the Men’s weight class of 102 kg. The athletes were highly determined to increase the lifting weights to defeat their opponents, resulting in impressive totals.
Well-known athletes such as Qatari Fares Elbakh, known as Meso Hassouna, Armenian Garik Karapetyan, who was also supposed to reign the division, unfortunately, didn’t get on the podium, but showed nice results. The Armenian athlete set the Junior World Record in Snatch by lifting 183 kg, while Fares got silver in Clean & Jerk of 218 kg.

We also saw other weightlifters, representatives of China and South Korea who showed incredible numbers today. That’s why they won first and second places accordingly.
Finally, the Top 3 winners’ list was formed and we can congratulate these strongmen with incredible results:
The first place moved to the lifter from China Liu Huanhua who lifted 180 kg in Snatch, 224 kg in Clean&Jerk, and he got 404 kg in total. By the way, he previously won two golds at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in Jinju in Snatch (175 kg) and total of 385 kg.
The silver medal holder became Korean lifter Yeonghak Jang who got 399 kg in total, 182 kg in Snatch, and 217 kg in Clean&Jerk. He competed at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent by winning bronze with the results 174-205-379, and at the Asian Championships in Jinju he took bronze.
Yauhen Tsikhantsou (AIN) won bronze with 183 kg in Snatch, 211 kg in CleanJerk, and a total result was 394 kg.
