At 26 years old, Neisi Patricia Dajomes Barrera continues to be a formidable figure in international weightlifting. Her journey through many challenges (injuries and navigating personal losses) only strengthened her resolve, dedication, and mental fortitude.

Her epic performance in Paris was especially poignant, coming off a potentially career-ending knee injury in 2023.

The gold went to Solfrid Eila Amena Koanda of Norway, who has set a new Olympic record with a total of 275 kg, stunning her competition! The silver medal was claimed by the Egyptian Sara Samir with 268 kg.
