Living Fit Resistance Bands Review Quick Summary

Living Fit Resistance Bands

  • Material: Natural latex
  • Resistance: 5-200 lbs
  • Length: 41’’
  • Warranty: Lifetime

Living Fit is a relatively new brand, but they’re backed by a team with substantial experience in the fitness industry. The founder, Jay Perkins, has previously co-founded Kettlebell Kings, a brand known for their exceptional quality and service in the kettlebell niche.

These bands scored high in all the relevant categories and there’s really nothing to complain about them. If we’re being super nitpicky (which is the point of reviews, after all), you could say that these aren’t cheap.

They’re not expensive by any means, but they’re not what you would call very affordable. Still, the value for money you get with these is hard to beat and even if the price was higher, they would still be worth it.

Whether you want just light stretching, intense barbell workouts, or you need assistance with pull-ups, these bands can do it all and more. They’re made of natural latex, which is known for being stretchy and durable, and they can take a lot of pressure without snapping.

But if they do happen to snap for some reason, Living Fit offers a lifetime warranty, so you have nothing to worry about.

The range of resistance is excellent – it starts with 5 pounds and goes all the way up to 200. You can buy each band separately or you can buy them in sets. If you buy a set of 4 or 6 bands, you get a free door anchor to complement your purchase.

A door anchor is a useful thing to have because you can use it to anchor the bands securely to a door frame and expand the already wide range of exercises you can do.

Living Fit offers the best type of shipping – free and fast. Most orders are received under 3 business days so if you order the bands now, you’ll be using them in no time!

Who and What Are Living Fit Resistance Bands For?

To be honest, these are meant for everyone, and that’s not an overstatement. You could be a complete beginner who’s never stepped foot in a gym and these bands would still be an accessible, effective way to achieve your fitness goals.

If you’re a beginner, these will be a gentle introduction to strength training and exercise in general. You’ll start with the lightest band, obviously, and then increase the resistance as you go along. And let’s not forget how intimidating fitness equipment can be for beginners.

Well, no such problem here! Resistance bands don’t intimidate anyone and they’ll grow your muscles just like weights would

Those that are a bit more experienced will get a new kind of challenge and a fresh perspective on their workouts. You can add these bands into an existing routine to target your muscles in different ways. They’re also amazing for breaking through plateaus.

There may be people who aren’t really looking to work out, but they’re forced to do it because they’re recovering from an injury or they’re going through rehabilitation. You guessed it – you can use resistance bands for that, too! These bands are gentle but effective and they’ll strengthen your muscles, improve flexibility, and promote healing.

The Living Fit Resistance Bands Review

1. Material Quality

Natural latex is known for its durability and elasticity, so it’s great that the Living Fit bands are made from it. They’ll keep their shape and resistance levels over time, so you’ll get consistent performance out of them.

2. Durability

You can use them all you want without worrying about them snapping. They’re designed to withstand super intense, frequent workouts and they hold up well during anything you throw their way.

3. Versatility

They’re as versatile as resistance bands could be. There’s a wide range of resistance levels to choose from and you can use them for all sorts of different workouts.

4. Price/Quality

When you consider the price-to-quality ratio, you’ll see that these are excellent value for money. Yes, they’re not the cheapest, but cheap resistance bands usually don’t work nearly as well and they’re prone to snapping and losing their shape rather quickly.

1. Living Fit Resistance Bands Vs Rep Fitness Pull-Up Bands

Rep Fitness Pull-Up Bands

rep resistance bands
  • Best For: Stretching, strength training, mobility
  • Resistance Levels: 7 levels, 5-15 to 70-175 lbs
  • Length: 38’’
  • Width: 0.25’’-3.25’’
  • Material: Rubber
  • Color Palette: Yellow, red, black, purple, green, blue, orange

If you don’t want or can’t get Living Fit’s resistance bands, Rep’s Pull-Up ones are a good alternative. Their weight range is slightly less impressive and goes to 175 pounds, whereas Living Fit’s is up to 200. Still, both of these are super versatile, and they’ll work even for those that are advanced and want a significant challenge.

Rep’s bands are made of rubber and have an elastic layered construction. This means that they give constant tension throughout workouts, but it also means they can stink a little when you first get them. That’s just how it usually is with rubber.

Both of these are very effective, and you won’t go wrong with either, but keep in mind that Living Fit bands are better if you’re really tall because they’re longer. Rep’s bands are 38’’ long, and while that’s great, Living Fit will work better for tall people. As far as the price goes, you’ll pay pretty much the same in both cases.

  • Layered elastic construction
  • 7 resistance levels (from 5 to 175 lbs)
  • 30-day return policy
  • These bands start off with a minimum resistance of 5 lbs

Could be better:

  • Only 38’’ long

2. Living Fit Resistance Bands Vs IronBull Monster Bands

IronBull Monster Bands

iron bull resistance bands
  • Best For: Strength training, physical therapy, warm-ups
  • Resistance Levels: 6 levels, 5-175 lbs
  • Length: 41’’
  • Width: 0.25’’-2.5’’
  • Material: Natural Latex
  • Color Palette: Yellow, red, black, purple, green, blue

Another great alternative comes from Ironbull. They’re made of natural latex as well, and they’re just as versatile as the resistance bands Living Fit makes. The length is another thing they have in common, but they differ a lot in terms of warranty and price.

Living Fit is way more affordable with a warranty you really can’t beat. Ironbull’s bands are pretty pricey, and the warranty you get lasts for only 90 days, with a 30-day refund policy.

Both of these are very high-quality, and they have wider ranges of resistance, although Ironbull’s goes up to 175 pounds, which is less than what you get with Living Fit.

Overall, they’re very similar in almost all aspects, but you’ll pay noticeably more for Ironbull. Still, if you can’t get your hands on Living Fit, this is one of the best alternatives you’ll find.

  • Made of superior material
  • These bands have a max resistance level of 175 lbs
  • The bands start off with a minimum resistance of 5 lbs

Could be better:

  • Pricey
  • Only 90-day warranty

Are These Resistance Bands Flexible Enough?

Yes, they’re very flexible, but also very strong.

Is a Step Between Different Resistances Enough to Cover the Main Types of Training With Bands?

Yes, the steps between resistances are sufficient for most training.

Do They Have a Chemical Smell?

Upon opening, the bands did have a strong odor, however, a day or two of use and the smell isn’t noticeable.

Is There Resistance Level Marking in LB on the Bands?

There is no marking on the bands. However, the thickness of the band clearly shows resistance in relation to the other bands.

Living Fit bands have all you could possibly want from resistance bands – they’re versatile, durable, keep their shape and tension over time, and the warranty is the best there is. With free shipping and complimentary door anchor with certain orders, whether you should get them or not is really a no-brainer!
