The competition for Olympic qualification in the women’s 87+ kg category was more than intense, showcasing incredible performances from the athletes.

Park Hyejeong is one of the athletes who can safely say she had a fantastic day competing at the IWF World Cup. The South Korean representative began by lifting 130 kg on the Snatch, a result good enough to get her the silver medal for the lift.

She continued her good performance on the Clean & Jerk, where she got 166 kg on her first attempt, and failed second and third lifts. Her total of 296 kg was enough only for the silver medal in the total ranking, trailing almost 30 kg behind first-placed Li Wenwen.
