Among smart cupping massager reviews, one copper stands tall. This smart cupping therapy massager combines modern technology with traditional cupping methods, and the result is a super efficient way to improve recovery.

Its dynamic suction capability is the standout feature for sure. There are several levels of intensity and when you blend this with the rhythmic alternation of suction and release, the result is traditional cupping but with a smoother and more automated experience. No flames, no glass cups – just a battery-powered little gadget that does the work for you.

The red light therapy feature is a huge plus if you’re looking to rejuvenate your skin and relieve some pain. Red light therapy is currently all the rage and you’ll have a hard time finding a beauty influencer that doesn’t use and/or promote some sort of red light therapy device (you know, those creepy Hannibal-Lecter-looking glowing red masks).

The AchedAway Cupper emits wavelengths between 630-670 nm, which are believed to reduce inflammation and promote faster healing; both in the muscles and the skin.

The cupper weighs only 0.44 lbs and it’s very compact. You can easily take it with you wherever you go, even if you travel because it won’t take up a lot of space in your suitcase. The battery lasts up to 3 hours and the charging takes about 2 and a half. Not too speedy, but it’s okay.

All in all, this is an awesome device. It’s well-designed, effective, and it even has red light therapy. It’s a bit noisy, but it’s not like you’re trying to sleep while doing it. And if you are, well… You really shouldn’t.

Who and What Is the AchedAway Cupper For?

If you’re not familiar with cupping therapy, then this seems like an awkward-looking device and you don’t quite know what to think of it. But cupping therapy has been used for centuries and it’s very effective at treating many medical conditions, as well as muscle pain, stiffness, and even chronic pain

Basically how it works is, you place cups on the skin to create suction, which pulls the blood to the surface, and that improves circulation and promotes healing. Traditionally, you would use glass cups and flames, but that’s both complicated and messy.

Modern devices like this one from AchedAway have streamlined this process and now, you don’t need to mess with fire and manual pumps, so the whole process became a lot more user-friendly.

The AchedAway Cupper is a modern take on cupping therapy and it’s ideal for anyone that’s dealing with muscle soreness, tightness, or aches. If you’re someone who trains hard at the gym, if you’re an athlete, or if you just feel the wear and tear of everyday life, this device may help you recover faster.

Athletes could possibly like it because it may help speed up muscle recovery and prevent stiffness after intense workouts. But this isn’t just for athletes, though – anyone that has issues with back, neck, or just general body pain may benefit from it.

Massage and physical therapists will like it, too. Cupping is great therapy, but as we previously mentioned, it can be pretty messy, and the AchedAway Cupper takes care of that issue. And even if you’re just using it at home, it’s super easy to handle because you don’t need any kind of professional setup. You just put it on, adjust the settings, sit back, and let it work.

AchedAway Cupper Review

Let’s break down some key aspects of this device so it’s easier for you to understand its strengths and where it stands out.

1. Power

The power is impressive and it can generate up to -60 kPa of suction, which is more than enough to effectively target deep muscle tissue. This strong suction makes sure you get the most out of every session, regardless of whether you’re using it to relax or if you need some serious recovery.

2. Battery Life

This is another area where the AchedAway Cupper does really, really well. One charge will last you for 3 hours and you never have to worry about it dying on you in the middle of the session. The charging takes about 2 and a half hours, which isn’t super fast, but it also doesn’t take forever.

3. Ergonomics

This is a lightweight, compact device that’s easy to use on whatever part of your body. You can easily use it by yourself, without any outside assistance, and the different cup sizes allow you to target different muscles effectively.

4. Noise

Not too bad, but not great. You’ll definitely hear it and if you’re trying to relax while using it, it might annoy you a teensy bit, but it’s nothing you would actually call disturbing. It’s a little distracting if you’re trying to focus on something else, but that’s all.

AchedAway Cupper Alternative

Ekrin BANTAM Massage Gun

ekrin batnam
  • Power: 35 lbs Stall Force
  • Material: Plastic, Rubber
  • Item Weight: 1.1 lbs
  • Battery Life: 6 hours
  • Color: Black/Green
  • Size: 8.5” x 8.07” x 2.99”
  • Performance: 2000 to 3200 rpm
  • Product Benefits/Use for: Recovery, Mobility, Self Myofascial Release
  • Items Included: 4 Attachments, Travel Case, USB Charger
  • Special Features: 3 Speeds, Compact Design, Lifetime Warranty

As great as the AchedAway Cupper is, it only makes sense to mention an alternative. Ekrin’s Bantam massage gun is a great one, especially if you need a portable, travel-friendly option, when you aren’t really into cupping.

The AchedAway Cupper focuses on cupping therapy, which uses suction to promote blood flow and relieve tension, while Ekrin’s Bantam is a mini massage gun that delivers relief via powerful vibrations. So powerful, in fact, you’ll feel them in your hand.

Both of these are nice for muscle recovery, and the price is pretty much the same. The Bantam is slightly cheaper, but the difference in price is hardly noticeable.

The Bantam really stands out when it comes to size and convenience. It's lightweight (still not as lightweight as the AchedAway Cupper, though!), very compact, and it’s easy just to toss the Ekrin into your gym bag or carry-on. It even comes with a TSA-approved travel case!

The battery also lasts 2 hours more than the one on the AchedAway Cupper. It has a wide range of speed settings (2000-3200 RPM) and it’s easy to control the intensity. If you want the portability and versatility that comes from a massage gun and don’t necessarily have the need for the specific benefits of cupping, this mini massage gun will work great.

Both of these will help with soreness and recovery, but the choice boils down to whether you want the targeted suction of cupping therapy or the all-around relief of a massage gun.

Positives:

  • Super compact
  • TSA-approved case for airline travel
  • Ergonomic design allows you to reach 90% of your body

Could be better:

  • Vibrations are very powerful and you can feel them in your hand

FAQ

How does the AchedAway Cupper compare to traditional cupping therapy?

The AchedAway electric cupper gives you the same benefits as traditional cupping, but it’s a lot easier to use. Traditional cupping uses glass cups, alcohol and flame to create suction, which is not the most convenient thing in the world, and probably shouldn’t be done without supervision. The AchedAway Cupper is battery-powered and uses dynamic suction, so it’s more user-friendly.

How does red light therapy work?

It emits low wavelengths of red light that penetrate the skin and stimulate cellular activity. This improves blood circulation and collagen production, which can speed up healing, reduce inflammation, and help with pain. It’s non-invasive and it’s often used for skin rejuvenation, treating some skin conditions, pain relief, and even androgenetic alopecia.

How often should I use cupping therapy for the best results?

Ideally, you would use it two to three times a week, depending on what you need and what you’re trying to achieve. If you’re using the AchedAway Cupper, you can use it right after workouts or anytime you feel tension in your muscles. However, don’t go crazy with it; listen to your body and see how it reacts. You don’t want to cause bruising or irritations.

Conclusion

If you want to keep your muscles happy, AchedAway cupping may help you do that. It’s good for everyone – gym enthusiasts, athletes, and people who just get sore from the daily grind. This modern take on cupping therapy makes recovery quicker and easier. You don’t even have to do anything – turn it on, place it on your body, kick back, and let it do its job. It’s kind of like having your own personal massage therapist! Be prepared to pay some money for that high tech.

Have you tried cupping therapy before? How do you handle sore muscles after a workout? If you’ve used recovery devices, do you have one to recommend? Have you read any other smart cupper reviews, and if you have, which feature stood out to you?
