Women’s Weightlifting Results at the 2023 Pan American Games (81+ kg)

The Pan American Games in 2023 in Santiago are still going on. Tuesday was special because the stands at Gimnasio Chimkowe were full. Chilean fans didn’t want to miss the final day of weightlifting competitions, and that’s no surprise, as there was a lot to see. You can check the results below:

The bronze medalist was a bit behind the top two athletes. It was the Dominican athlete, Crismery Santana. She achieved an excellent overall result of 267 kg, which was 10 kg less than the gold medalist. Looking at her specific results, she lifted 117 kilograms in the snatch and 150 kilograms in the clean and jerk.

Let’s take a look at the local athlete for whom Chilean residents had high hopes. Arantzazu Pavez finished with a total of only 233 kg. Her final results were not quite what the citizens had hoped for, with 105 kilograms in the snatch and 128 kilograms in the clean and jerk. She may have finished seventh in the competition, but her results have secured her a respectable place in the upcoming Junior World Weightlifting Championships in Mexico in November.
