As the Paris Olympic Games draw near, athletes are gearing up for their last chance to qualify at the IWF World Cup in Thailand, which is currently underway.
Having left behind the lightweight categories, the competition continued with the men’s 73 kg division, which proved to be thrilling, with numerous remarkable lifts showcased by the athletes competing.
Rizki Juniansyah from Indonesia had a fantastic outing, starting with a 164 kg Snatch lift on his third attempt, enough to win him the silver medal for the event.

After that, he continued with his stellar performance, lifting 201 kg on his second Clean & Jerk attempt for the gold medal for this lift.
With two medals for each lift and a total of 365 kg, Rizki Juniansyan won the overall gold medal for the category, leading by 9 kg or more.
The Indonesian lifter is a two-time Junior World Champion and already has a silver medal from the Senior World Championships in 2022.
