Countdown To Førde
The Weightlifting World Championships 2025 are set for Førde, Norway on October 2–11. Tickets are live, the venue is ready, and the local organizers are already in full swing.
This year also brings the IWF’s new eight weight classes. For seniors, men compete at 60, 65, 71, 79, 88, 94, 110, +110, while women compete at 48, 53, 58, 63, 69, 77, 86, +86. These categories took effect on June 1, 2025, reshaping rivalries for IWF Worlds 2025.
Inside Nurudinov’s Antalya Ladder
Ruslan Nurudinov just posted a “Up to 230” clean and jerk session from a training camp inAntalya, thanking local organizers Throne Travel. The reel shows a progressive build, finishing with a crisp 230 kg, a classic Uncle Rus message that the engine is warm.
The 110 Kg Chessboard
Under the new landscape, Nurudinov is a natural fit for the 110 kg class. Expect a collision of former 102 and 109 stars here. Akbar Djuraev’s recent 252 kg split jerk from the racks shows the kind of overhead power likely to land in this division at IWF Championships 2025.
Why This Matters
Nurudinov’s 230 sits 12 kgof his 242 kg world record clean and jerk from the last Worlds. Training is not competition, but the proximity is the headline. If bar speed and timing hold, his total ceiling in the new 110 could define the first post-reset record book.
Torokhtiy Media has covered his record closely on Instagram and the blog. If you want a refresher on that 242, we have clips and a full day-by-day recap from the 2024 Worlds.

I’m Vladyslava, and sport has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the past 10 years, I’ve explored it all – from CrossFit and powerlifting to running a half marathon. But my true passion found its home in Olympic weightlifting.
I’m proud to be a Ukrainian Weightlifting Champion (2018) and a prize winner of national championships in 2018–2019. My best lifts? A 57 kg snatch and a 73 kg clean & jerk in the 51 kg weight class. I’m also a Candidate for Master of Sports in weightlifting – and I’m still chasing new goals every day.
Beyond training, I’ve earned two Master’s degrees: one in Sport Management and another in Physical Education. Whether I’m lifting a barbell or helping others grow in sport, I’m all in – because for me, sport isn’t just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle.
