For the runner-up of the European Championships, Antonino Pizzolato, the competition day didn’t get off to the best start as he lifted 170 kg on the Snatch, which gave him a fifth-place finish.

Thankfully, he improved on the Clean & Jerk, as he managed to get 210 kg on his second attempt, which won him the bronze medal for the event. Unfortunately, his total of 390 kg meant he was left just outside the podium spots in 4th place.
