Clean and Jerk

While Talakhadze and Lalayan went for 247 kg on their first C&J attempts, Minasyan went for 245 kg. And while he did handle that load successfully, he was still 1 kilo behind in the total, placing him in third place.

Minasyan increased the weight load for his second attempt by a mighty 10 kg, up to 255, which proved too much for him to control. Minasyan tried the same load on his last attempt, but again, he failed to perform, cementing him in the 3rd spot.

The gold was won by  Lasha Talakhadze from Georgia, who lifted 470 kg in total. The silver medal was secured by Varazdat Lalayan, also a born Armenian, same as Gor Minasyan. Lalayan lifted a combined weight of 467 kg to secure his silver.
