Martha Ann Rogers, born August 23rd, 1995, in Apopka, Florida, is an American weightlifter competing primarily in the 76 kg and 81 kg categories. Known for her consistency, versatility across weight classes, and longevity at the international level, Rogers has become one of the most decorated U.S. female weightlifters of her generation.
Rogers began her athletic career in gymnastics and cheerleading before discovering weightlifting through CrossFit as a teenager. Her early exposure to strength and body awareness allowed her to quickly adapt to Olympic-style lifting, entering her first sanctioned weightlifting competition at around age 17.
She made her senior international debut at the 2015 World Championships, finishing 15th overall with a total of 226 kg. Over the following years, Rogers steadily rose to prominence on the world stage. By 2017, she began medaling at global events, culminating in a landmark performance at the 2021 World Championships in Tashkent, where she won silver in clean&jerk and total, and bronze in snatch, marking her fourth consecutive World Championships with podium finishes.
In 2022, at the World Championships in Bogotá, Rogers continued her streak with multiple silver medals in the 76 kg class, solidifying her status as one of the world’s top female lifters. On the continental stage, she won gold at the 2022 Pan American Weightlifting Championships, and at the 2022 USA National Championships, she set three American records: 112 kg snatch, 140 kg clean&jerk, and 252 kg total.
Rogers is known for her versatility across weight classes, having competed successfully in 69 kg, 71 kg, 76 kg, and 81 kg divisions while maintaining world-class results.
