"In this PULL, the athlete's grip is between the SNATCH and CLEAN&JERK grip. And in spite of the fact that the power position is done just a bit above the point, in comparison to the CLEAN, this exercise feels closer to theSNATCH PULL. This exercise is often planned during the transition period to let the muscles rest from the usual angles, as well as in the preparation period, when the athlete is working on the movement and a large volume ofpower work is performed from non-standard starting positions in order to work on the muscles in various ways."
