We have a real treat for you today – the Warrior Pro Ice Bath Tub review, and a very in-depth one!
You know how everyone’s been into ice baths for a while now and so many coaches and athletes recommend it? Well, there’s a reason for it because an ice bath has more benefits than you can count – both mental and physical.
Here’s the kicker, though – it’s beneficial only if you get a good tub. If you were to take an ice bath in a bucket, you wouldn’t be too happy with it.
So, how not to waste your money and get something that you’ll make use of? Keep reading!
Warrior Pro XL Plunge Bath Review Quick Summary
Warrior Pro XL Plunge Bath
- Dimensions: 60’’L x 31’’W x 26’’H
- Water Capacity: 120 gallons
- Capacity: Up to 2 people, up to 6’9’’ tall
- Tub Weight (Empty): 15 lbs
- High Pressure Structure: 8 PSI / 0.55 Bar
- Optional Chiller: yes
- Warranty: 1 Year
If you’re looking for an excellent ice bath tub with chiller, look no further because the bundle from Warrior Willpower has everything you’d want and you can get either just the tub or both the tub and the chiller. It’s made to be durable, comfortable, and easy to use, so what’s not to like?
The tub is inflatable and it took us about 10 minutes to inflate both the tub and the cover. One person can handle it easily even if they’re not super handy and have no experience of this kind. Once it’s deflated, it will fit into any backpack because it’s compact and lightweight.
It’s very comfortable and it fits people up to 6’9’’ in height. The dimensions are 60’’L x 31’’W x 26’’H and there is a chance that two people can fit inside. If you’re placing it on a hard surface, like concrete, you might want to add a foam mat, although it’s comfortable even without it.
It’s really impressive how well this cold plunge XL maintained the cold temperature. We left the tub (covered) in the hot summer sun for 4 days and the water didn’t warm up much. We didn’t measure the temperature, but the water was still cooler than most swimming pools.
Everything seems sturdy and well-made and you can tell that all the materials are high-quality. It doesn’t seem like you could puncture it easily, but in case you do, there’s a patch kit included with the tub.
The only thing that could be considered less than ideal is the size if you have a small space to work with. This is a big, spacious cold plunge tub with chiller option and that’s a plus, but there’s a chance it will be a problem if you don’t have a lot of space.
The tub is inflatable and it took us about 10 minutes to inflate both the tub and the cover. One person can handle it easily even if they’re not super handy

Who and What Is Warrior Pro XL Plunge Bath For?
This is meant for everyone that’s into cold therapy and wants to reduce muscle inflammation and speed up recovery. Athletes, fitness enthusiasts, or just those that like to take cold dips for funsies. If you’re practicing cold showers this could be your next step.
It’s easy to set up, transport, and it has an effective cooling system so if you lead an active lifestyle, you can’t go wrong with it.
The Warrior Pro XL Plunge Bath Review
Is it good? Is it bad? Well, let’s plunge into the unbiased facts of what this ice bath is like when it comes to specific criteria, so that you yourself can form your own opinion about this product.
1. Material Quality
Everything is top-notch here! The materials are high-quality, durable, and they can withstand frequent use. Since it’s inflatable, it’s fine with being inflated and deflated all the time without there being any damage, and it will even handle regular transport.
2. Capacity
Another excellent feature. The capacity is very generous and it can fit people up to 6’9’’. As far as water capacity goes, you can fill the tub up with up to 120 gallons of water.
3. Durability
There’s a patch kit included if anything goes wrong (minor punctures), but that’s highly unlikely. The manufacturer wasn’t trying to lower the costs of production and the materials and the construction quality are excellent.
4. Comfort
It’s very comfortable, but if you place it on something like concrete, a foam mat will make it even better. Without it, the level of comfort is similar to that of an indoor tub.
5. Price/Quality
It’s not cheap, but as far as cold plunges go, it’s not too expensive. You get great value for money because this is something that will last you for years and years and it will perform very well the entire time.
Warrior Pro XL Plunge Bath Alternatives
Ice Barrel 300
- Dimensions: 35.5’’W x 30.5’’H
- Weight: 61 lbs empty, 700 lbs full
- Material: Recycled plastic
- Shape: Cylinder
- Installation Type: Freestanding
- Capacity: 77 gallons
- Extra Features: Fully insulated and UV resistant lid, water-resistant cover, small seat inside
- Package: Barrel, lid, cover, hardware
- Warranty: Limited lifetime
If you don’t have too much space to work with, the Ice Barrel 300 is ideal for you because it’s upright and more compact. It’s sleek and fully insulated with polyurethane foam, and the foam is both in the lid and in the barrel. This is great because the water stays cool for a long time.
Instead of laying down, you’ll be sitting upright in this barrel, which is a great alternative for laying down. And if we’re being honest, are you really laying down and relaxing in an ice bath? Props to you if you are, but most people squat awkwardly and try to fight the urge to get out. So sitting ends up being a welcome change.
It’s made in the USA, from recycled materials, and it weighs 61 pounds empty. It’s still considerably more than the Warrior Willpower tub, but it’s not heavy by any means. Plus, you get lifetime warranty with the Ice Barrel 300, which is more than 1 year you get from the Warrior Willpower.

- Warranty: 1 year limited
If you want space and you can’t get your hands on the Warrior Willpower tub, we have a great (although more expensive) option for you!
The Fire Cold Plunge cools the water to a chilling 37°F and when you combine that with the 300 gallon per hour circulation, you get an absolutely invigorating experience.
It has an 8-layer filtration system with honeycomb cotton and activated charcoal to remove small sediments and debris from the water and when it comes to changing the filter, you only need to do it once per year.
The construction is durable and maintenance is simple. The warranty is the same as you would get with the Warrior Willpower tub - 1 year. You can get extra warranty, but you’ll need to pay for it separately. For the price, you would expect more than just 1 year of free warranty but hey, it’s better than nothing.
To sum it up, this will work for you if you don’t mind spending more money and if you’re fine with not ever moving it, because the weight ranges from 210 lbs to 285 lbs (depending on the size you choose).

FAQ
Is the Setup Complicated?
Not at all. Even if you aren’t handy or you’ve never done anything like this before, you shouldn’t have any issues with the setup process. All components are labeled and it only takes a few minutes to get everything up and running.
Can It Keep the Water Cool for Several Days?
Yes, if you use the cover. We’ve left it in the sun for 4 days and the water was still cooler than what you would get in most swimming pools.
Conclusion
All in all – we can’t recommend this large cold plunge enough. It does everything you would expect an ice bat would, and the price is more than decent considering you get a bundle with both the tub, the chiller, and some accessories.
If you can’t get your hands on it, there are alternatives for you to choose from, but the Willpower Warrior remains our first choice.
