Stepping up your workout game has never been easier because the original Kensui’s Swissies have been redesigned to make your strength training sessions more effective and enjoyable.
They’re made of nylon-fiberglass composite, which is why they’re able to stay super light while also being really durable. They weigh just over a pound per pair, so they’re easy to carry around. Unlike metal grips, they won’t slip out of your hands or get uncomfortably cold, and the rubber lining on the hook prevents any damage to your bars and keeps everything in place.
The handles are knurled so there’s no slipping and you can focus only on your workouts. We all know how important form is for preventing injuries and having your exercises be effective, but you can’t properly concentrate on it if you’re worried about your equipment slipping.
Kensui offers a 100-day trial and a lifetime warranty on their Swissies workout handles. You’ll need to take some time to get used to them when you get them and there could be a bit of a learning curve there, but that’s how it is with all new equipment.

Who and What Are Kensui Swissies For?
Kensui fitness Swissies are perfect for anyone that wants to switch up their strength training routine, but struggle with regular bar grip. The swissies allow for a more neutral grip which eases the strain on your wrists/elbows. This enhances comfort and allows a firmer/more secure grip.
They’re useful for anyone that uses dumbbells, barbells, cable machines, pull-up bars and resistance bands. Swissies help reduce the strain on your wrists and elbows but still allow your grip to be firm and secure, potentially working on increasing the range of motion of these exercises (barbell exercises), which is a significant benefit to have.
If you have a home gym, especially if you’re limited on equipment, the Swissies increase the variety of exercises bringing diversity/versatility to your home exercise routine.
Kensui Swissies Review
Let’s take a closer look at what makes the Swissies so special.
1. Durability
The nylon-fiberglass composite they’re made of makes them super durable, yet lightweight. That’s a tough balance to get, but Kensui did it. They won’t let you down no matter how intense your workouts get and how often you use them.
2. Design
Their design is unique and it may take some getting used to, but it’s spot-on. The knurled handle gives you a good grip, and the rubber-lined hook prevents sliding but also protects your equipment from scratches and dents. Their design is practical and comfortable and makes for smooth workouts.
3. Adjustability
You can tweak the grip width to work for what you want, so you’ll hit all the right muscles and maintain good form. Plus, they can be attached to all sorts of equipment. They can add some variety in your home/garage gym if you don’t have a lot of equipment.
4. Price/Quality
The price is really affordable and you get phenomenal value for money. They’re not expensive but they’ll still last you a long time and their quality is exceptional. Nothing more we can ask for!
Rogue Neutral Grips
- Length: 7"
- Height: 11"
- Diameter: 1.25"
- Infinity Compatible: Yes
- Echo Compatible: Yes
- Monster Lite Compatible: Yes
Rogue’s Neutral Grips are a bit more specific in use than Swissies and they’re made to be attached to standard X-43 or X-70 Crossmembers on squat stands, power racks, infinity rigs, or wall mounts.
They give you unlimited grip width options cause you can slide them left or right to adjust the width. They’re great if you want to work on your grip strength (among other things). Grip strength says a lot about health, so you want to maintain it. Plus, a strong grip is linked with better cognitive function, so it’s more important than you think.
The handle is 7 inches long and has a diameter of 1.25 inches, so they provide a comfortable grip for a bunch of different upper body exercises. They’re robust and durable, so while they are pricier than Swissies, you’ll have them for a long time.
The installation process is a piece of cake and they’ll work great for people who use mostly racks and rigs in their training. They’re not as versatile as Swissies, but they’re excellent quality and if your training is more specific, they’ll work better than Swissies grips.
