The Chinese National Team Visits Paris Before the Games

The IWF Grand Prix II in Doha was quite successful for the Chinese national team, and so before returning to their country, the Chinese weightlifting team decided to pay a visit to Paris (14-21 December 2023) to get a feel for the facilities provided for the upcoming Games in August, this year.

During their stay in France’s capital, the Chinese delegation had the opportunity to test out the facilities at the national training center at INSEP and to also participate in joint training sessions with the French Olympic Team. Aside from training, the two national teams also gathered for a seminar, where they debated topics such as coaching methods, training, and dedication.

Aside from training, the Chinese national team also had the opportunity to visit the Olympic Village at Saint Ouen, which will be home to athletes from all over the world this summer when the Paris Olympic Games are set to begin.

After receiving a detailed presentation of the Village’s construction and seeing the residential accommodations, the Chinese delegation was also able to walk around the Village and even see where the future weightlifting training room will be located.
