Marin Robu Shows Great Form As He Prepares for the Paris Olympic Games

Marin Robu last competed at the 2024 European Championships in Sofia, where he fought for glory in the men’s 89 kg category.

Even though he used to compete in the lighter weight categories, the Moldovan showed great form and managed to finish 3rd overall with a silver medal in the Snatch.

Robu’s journey to the Paris Olympic Games has been marked by unwavering dedication. His recent training footage showcases his strength and agility as he effortlessly back squats 280 kg. This display of power is a clear indication that he is in prime form as the Games draw near.

For Robu, this year’s Summer Olympics will be his second as he already represented Moldova in the 2020 Tokyo Games; however, back then, he competed in the 73 kg lighter weight class and managed to finish 8th overall.

This year, his hope is to improve on his previous results and show his best form at the most important competition of the 4 years.
