Lee Sang Shows Spectacular Back Squat In Training as the Paris Olympics Draw Near

As we all know, Lee Sang stands as one of South Korea’s most promising weightlifters, even though he won’t be able to represent his country in the upcoming Olympic games.

Last year, he earned a bronze medal in the Clean & Jerk event at the world championship in Riyadh and secured a fifth-place finish overall – a result that fell short of his aspirations.

So far this year, Sang hasn’t competed yet, and this is one of the reasons why we won’t see him perform in Paris.

In a recent video published on his Instagram profile, the South Korean can be seen squatting with 190 kg for 20 reps – an impressive feat considering his category.

In addition to squatting, Sang has also uploaded videos of him training his Clean & Jerk and Snatch, showing that he’s in good form and ready to return to competition.

If he continues with his current show of form, Sang has a chance to get a medal at the World Championships later this year – an accolade not many in the South Korean team can fight for.
