Overall, if you’re already getting all the micronutrients you need through your diet, a multivitamin is unnecessary. While this is a premium-priced supplement, you’ll likely be hard-pressed to find a higher-quality multivitamin out there.

Kaged is a relatively new supplement company, having been around for less than 10 years. However, in that time they’ve established an excellent reputation. Along with their more popular supplements like pre-workouts and protein powders, Kaged also offers an excellent multivitamin supplement.

If you’re looking for a multivitamin, we think this is a great choice for a couple of reasons. Its ingredients are all dosed effectively, many coming from organic and/or whole food sources. It also has excellent third-party certification.

While it is somewhat expensive, if you’re in the market for a premium multivitamin, Kaged would be our first choice

Who and What is Kaged Multivitamin For

Although this is a high-quality supplement, Kaged’s Multivitamin won’t be for everybody. First, due to the high iron content, this supplement should only be used by pre-menopausal women. Second, if you’re already eating a diet rich in micronutrients, a multivitamin supplement will likely be unnecessary regardless of age and sex.

However, if you’re concerned about your intake of vitamins and minerals, talk with your doctor and get some blood work done. This will help you understand if you would benefit from a multivitamin supplement.

While we recommend prioritizing whole food ingredients in your diet first, a multivitamin can be an easy and convenient way to make sure you’re not missing out on any nutrients.

Kaged Multivitamin Review

Below we’ll be taking a closer look at Kaged’s Multivitamin, including its micro breakdown, its third-party certification, and more.

1. Overall Micros Breakdown

First, one of the best things about Kaged’s multivitamin is how its ingredients are dosed. Most of the nutrients included in this supplement are dosed at exactly 100% of your DV. This will help you avoid, which can cause side effects or toxic build-up of nutrients with prolonged use.

Keep in mind that the iron content is dosed at 100% of the DV for pre-meopausal women, which makes it more than double than what’s recommended for men and post-menopausal women.

This supplement includes many vitamins and minerals that may be of interest to you. This includes several B Vitamins, Vitamin D, and Zinc. The only key nutrients you’re missing out on will be calcium, magnesium, sodium and chloride which can easily be obtained from food or could be supplemented separately if needed.

2. Capsules / Tablets per Serving

Each serving of Kaged’s Multivitamin is split across 2 capsules. This is fairly low, considering some multivitamins come in servings of up to 8 capsules (see Legion’s multivitamin below). This serving size is ideal for anybody who dislikes swallowing pills. It’s also worth noting that this 2 capsule serving size is ideal for people who only want to take a half serving every day.

3. Nutrition Label Transparency

Kaged’s formula and nutrition label transparency are other strengths of this supplement. It’s made of non-GMO, organic ingredients, which means the ingredients were grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. However, this likely won’t make a huge difference, considering you’re taking a vitamin and not eating the actual foods.

This supplement is also completely vegan, as its capsule is made without any gelatin or other animal products.

4. Third-Party Testing

This multivitamin also has excellent third-party testing coming from Informed Sport. This is an organization that certifies many of Kaged’s supplements. It’s a great certification for anybody concerned about potentially harmful or banned substances in their supplements.

5. Value for Money

While Kaged is a great premium multivitamin supplement, it may cost more than you’re looking to spend. Each serving will cost about ~$1.17. With there being many multivitamins out there that cost a small fraction of this price, you may be more interested in a more budget-friendly option instead.

However, we still believe this price is worthwhile if you want an organic, third-party-tested, high-quality supplement.

How Do You Use Kaged Multivitamin?

As mentioned above, we only recommend the use of a multivitamin supplement if you’re a pre-menopausal woman, and you struggle to get enough micronutrients through your diet.

1. You may be at a greater risk for vitamin deficiencies if

  • You’re eating in a caloric deficit for a prolonged period
  • You have any malabsorption conditions
  • You have any dietary restrictions

Consult with your doctor and get blood work done to see if a multivitamin supplement is necessary for you. You may find individual vitamin supplementation is more beneficial for you.

With this being said, if you’ve decided to take Kaged, we recommend either taking a full or half serving per day depending on your needs. This will either help you ensure you’re getting all your micros in, or simply give your diet a little boost!

Half150%People who want a moderate boost to their daily micronutrient intake
Men needing more iron than usual, with moderate amounts of other nutrients

Kaged Multivitamin Alternatives

Below we’ll also be taking a look at a few other premium multivitamin supplements out there from Transparent Labs and Legion respectively. This can help you decide if Kaged is right for you, or if you want to try an alternative instead!

1. Kaged Multivitamin vs. Transparent Labs Multivitamin

Transparent Labs Multivitamin

  • Sex / Age Category: Adults
  • Form: Capsules
  • Vegan-Friendly: Yes
  • Meets Daily Vitamin Requirements: Yes
  • Meets Daily Minerals Requirements: Yes
  • Additional Ingredients: Ashwagandha, Coenzyme Q10, Boron
  • Number of Servings: 30
  • Capsules / Tablets per Serving: 4
  • Price per Serving: ~$1.00
  • Company Founded: 2012
  • Recommended by Athletes: Hafthor Bjornsson, Paul Sklar, Sean Harris

Transparent Labs has a much more unbalanced formula than Kaged, containing some ingredients dosed well below 100% DV, and others dosed up to 1000%+ DV. This supplement is certified by Informed Choice, which is very similar to Kaged’s Informed Sport certification.

It also contains the active ingredient Ashwagandha, which may be beneficial for reducing cortisol and in turn helping with testosterone production. It’s worth noting that while Ashwagandha is regarded to be safe, you still may not want it as part of a multivitamin because of limited research on its long-term use.

Note that each serving is split over 4 capsules, and is slightly cheaper than Kaged at ~$1.00 per serving.

2. Kaged Multivitamin vs Legion Triumph Multivitamin for Men

 Legion Triumph Multivitamin for Men

TRIUMPH Men’s Sport by Legion
  • Sex / Age Category: Men’s
  • Form: Capsules
  • Vegan: No
  • Meets Daily Vitamin Requirements: Yes
  • Meets Daily Minerals Requirements: Yes
  • Additional Ingredients: Grape Seed Extract, Zeaxanthin, Lutein, Fucoxanthin, Ashwagandha, Black Cumin Seed, Pumpkin Seed Extract
  • Number of Servings: 30
  • Capsules / Tablets per Serving: 8 Capsules
  • Price per Serving: ~$1.67
  • Company Founded: 2014
  • Recommended by Athletes: Gage Clark, Grant Tinsley, Machaela Brabham

Next is Legion’s Triumph Multivitamin, which contains a similarly unbalanced formula to Transparent Labs, with doses ranging from ~50% to 25,000% DV. Legion has been tested by a recognized third-party lab.

Also similar to TL, this supplement contains Ashwagandha. Each serving is split across 8 capsules, which is fairly excessive in our opinion, especially for those who don’t enjoy swallowing pills. This is also the most expensive supplement we’ve covered at ~$1.67 per serving.

FAQ

Are Multivitamins Really Healthy?

While multivitamins aren’t unhealthy, for many people they also aren’t exactly necessary. If you get enough micronutrients through your diet, there will be minimal benefits to taking a multivitamin supplement. However, if you struggle with this, then a high-quality multivitamin may be greatly beneficial to your health.

Is it OK to take Multivitamins Every Day?

If you struggle with getting enough vitamins and minerals through your diet, then it may be a good idea to take a multivitamin. Otherwise, it’s likely unnecessary. We recommend getting blood work done and talking with a doctor to see if you would benefit from a daily multivitamin.

Conclusion

Overall, Kaged’s Multivitamin is one of the highest-quality and effectively dosed multivitamins on the market. While it is somewhat pricey, we believe the cost will be worthwhile if you want a premium, organic multivitamin. We hope our review can help you make a more informed choice!
