Kaged Clean Burn Review (2024)

In this Kaged Clean Burn review, we’ll be looking at Kaged’s main fat burner supplement. By analyzing its ingredients and value, you can decide if this supplement is right for you.

Note that in this review we’re talking about Kaged’s “Clean Burn Powder,” as it appears their original Clean Burn and Clean Burn Amped Capsules have been discontinued.

Overall, as with most “fat-burner” supplements, we don’t believe Clean Burn will have any real effect on your ability to lose weight. You’re much better off prioritizing diet and exercise instead of relying on supplements like this. With that being said, let’s get into our review.

Kaged is a popular supplement brand well-known for high-quality products ranging from pre-workouts to protein powders. However, we believe Kaged’s Clean Burn supplement is easily one of the least useful supplements they offer.

Clean Burn does combine a solid dose of caffeine along with common “fat-burning” ingredients like L-Carnitine, Grains of Paradie, and Capsaicin. Overall, while caffeine is good for energy, and L-Carnitine may be useful for recovery, none of these ingredients will have any real effect on weight loss.

Because of this, we cannot fully recommend Clean Burn. You’ll likely be better off choosing a more useful supplement like protein powder or pre-workout.

Who and What is Kaged Clean Burn For?

Kaged Clean Burn is marketed as a fat burner supplement, combining 3 main ingredients – L-Carnitine L-Tartrate, Grains of Paradise, and Capsaicin. However, it’s unlikely any of these ingredients will provide any notable benefits to weight loss.

As a result, it’s difficult to recommend Clean Burn to anybody, especially when there are so many more effective supplements out there. While L-Carnitine may provide some benefits for recovery, and caffeine is good for energy, there won’t be many more benefits to this supplement.

Kaged Clean Burn Review

Below we’ll be covering exactly why we don’t believe Kaged Clean Burn is a very useful supplement. We’ll be breaking down its ingredients, value, as well as a few extra factors.

1. Ingredients Breakdown

Clean Burn’s formula consists of 3 main ingredients – L-Carnitine, Grains of Paradise, and Capsaicin. Below we’ll be looking at each of these ingredients in a bit more depth so you can understand them better. Overall, as you’ll see, this formula is unlikely to have any major effects, especially when it comes to weight loss.

• L-Carnitine L-Tartrate

First, the only real active ingredient included in this formula is L-Carnitine L-Tartrate. This is a supplement regularly branded as a “fat-burner,” because of L-Carnitine L-Tartrate’s role in the body related to lipid oxidation. However, there is no research to support its use as a supplement for weight loss aid.

Instead, it does appear to be somewhat useful as a recovery aid. While it may be beneficial for this, just be aware that it will have no real effect on your ability to lose weight.

• Grains of Paradise

Grains of Paradise is a common ingredient included in “fat-burning” supplements like this. While there is some evidence to suggest that Grains of Paradise may be beneficial for increasing energy expenditure. However, research is limited on this front, and this supplement is highly unlikely to provide any real benefits for weight loss. .

• Capsaicin

The final main ingredient included in this formula is capsaicin. There is some evidence to support the use of this supplement, mainly for limiting energy intake due to suppressed appetite. So, while capsaicin may have a mild impact on how many calories you eat throughout the day, it’s unlikely this will make a major difference in your ability to lose weight.

2. Stimulation

Caffeine is commonly included in fat burners for boosting energy, as well as its moderate effect on boosting metabolic rate. It’s included here at a moderate dose of 166mg per serving. While this will be fine for most people, be aware that this may lead to unwanted side effects such as anxiety, insomnia, headaches, and more.

3. Taste/Flavor:

Clean Burn comes in 3 different flavors, Orange Mango, Strawberry Lemonade, and Lemon Drop. Most reviews suggest it has a great flavor and mixability. Because it’s only 10 calories, Clean Burn could also serve as a good low-calorie replacement for your favorite sports drink!

4. Nutrition Label Transparency

Kaged is a very reliable company when it comes to Nutritional Label Transparency. Like many of their products, Clean Burn is Informed Sport certified, which means it’s been rigorously tested for potentially harmful contaminants as well as banned substances. This is a great certification to look for in any supplement if you’re a competitive athlete who gets drug-tested.

It’s worth noting that this supplement is flavored with the artificial ingredient sucralose. While this won’t be a major issue for most, keep this in mind if you prefer to avoid artificial ingredients!

5. Value for Money

Each serving of Clean Burn will cost around $1.83, which is fairly expensive for a fat-burner supplement (for comparison, Transparent Labs’ fat burner costs about ~$0.92). Especially considering this supplement won’t have any real effect on weight loss, your money will likely be better spent elsewhere.

How Do You Use Kaged Clean Burn?

It’s unlikely that Kaged Clean Burn will provide any notable effects beyond improving energy thanks to caffeine and recovery thanks to L-Carnitine. Because it does contain a solid amount of caffeine, this supplement would likely be best used as a pre-workout. However, there are many more effectively dosed pre-workout supplements available out there.

Aside from caffeine which is associated with some mild side effects (insomnia, headaches, insomnia, etc.), the rest of its ingredients are unlikely to cause any side effects. So, most people should be fine taking the recommended daily dose of 1 scoop – even if it’s unlikely to have any real effect on weight loss.

With this being said, it may be worth consulting with your doctor to make sure this supplement is safe for you. Of course, if you experience any side effects, we recommend ceasing use immediately.

Kaged Clean Burn Alternatives

Below we’ll quickly be going over some alternatives to Clean Burn to see if any of these products are right for you. Keep in mind that like Clean Burn, most fat burners won’t make a major difference in your ability to lose weight.

Kaged Clean Burn vs Transparent Labs Recomp

Transparent Labs Recomp

Transparent Labs Recomp

  • Caffeine: 125mg
  • Package Information: 60 Capsules
  • Serving: 2 Capsules
  • Company Founded: 2015
  • Recommended by Athletes: Hafþór Júlíus BjörnssonPat LiPAULINA

Transparent Labs Recomp has a similar formula to Clean Burn, including Green Tea Extract and Capsaicin. While it doesn’t have any L-Carnitine, it does include a solid 125mg of caffeine per serving. As mentioned, it’s also much more expensive at around ~$0.92 per serving.

Kaged Clean Burn vs Legion Phoenix Fat Burner

Legion Phoenix Fat Burner

Legion Phoenix Fat Burner
  • Item Form: Capsules
  • Best for: Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Reducing Fatigue
  • Flavor: Unflavored
  • Caffeine: 200mg (Zero-stimulant option also available)

  • Package Information: 90 Capsules (30 Servings)

Phoenix has a slightly different formula, including ingredients like Forskolin, Black Ginger, and more. While these ingredients have varying amounts of research supporting their use, once again, it’s unlikely this supplement will have any major effect on weight loss. There is a stim-free option as well as a caffeinated option which contains 200mg of caffeine per serving. Regardless, either option will cost you about ~$1.68 per serving.

FAQ

What Is the Difference Between Clean Burn and Clean Burn Amped?

Clean Burn and Clean Burn Amped were 2 fat burners previously offered by Kaged that now both appear to be discontinued. They now offer 2 powder-based fat burners with slightly different formulas.

Kaged now offers Clean Burn Powder (which we’ve been covering today), and Clean Burn Elite as their 2 fat-burning supplements. Oddly enough, it appears these supplements have the exact same formula based on their supplement facts. From what we can tell, the only difference is that Clean Burn Elite costs slightly more.

Overall, while Clean Burn Powder has a slightly different formula than Kaged’s previous fat burners, it’s unlikely that any of these supplements will have a major effect on weight loss.

Does Clean Burn Have Caffeine?

Yes, Kaged’s basic clean burn powder contains caffeine and a formula with several “fat-burning” ingredients. Note that Kaged no longer offers their original Clean Burn capsules, and it appears that Clean Burn Powder is now their main “fat-burning” supplement. This supplement is what we’ve been focusing on today!

Conclusion

Overall, as with most fat burner supplements, it’s unlikely that Kaged’s Clean Burn will provide any significant benefits for weight loss. We just don’t believe its formula made up of L-Carnitine L-Tartrate, Grains of Paradise, and Capsaicin is worth the money, especially considering Clean Burn is fairly expensive.

Instead, you’ll likely be better off choosing more beneficial supplements like protein powder or pre-workout. Luckily, Kaged offers great options for both of these supplements in Whey Protein Isolate and Pre-Kaged

While we don’t fully recommend it, you may still be interested in trying Clean Burn as well. Just be sure you’re aware that it’s unlikely to have any real effect on weight loss. We hope this Kaged Muscle Clean Burn review can help you make a more informed choice!
