Hafthor Björnsson’s Return to Strongman: A Comeback Journey

The famous Hafthor Björnsson is returning to Strongman. This became known to the general public in September 2023. We would like to remind you that he is a three-time Arnold Strongman Classic champion and the grand prize winner of the World’s Strongest Man 2018.

For his fans, October 14, 2023, was a momentous day when he officially announced his return to the serious sport. He will begin his travels with the Arnold Strongman Classic, which will be held in 2024 in Ohio. He will later participate in the Arnold Strongman UK, which will be held in Birmingham. His final point on the roadmap will be the Rogue Invitational 2024 event.

He stated this on his official social media pages. The organizers of the show have also confirmed his return to the competition.

We would like to recall that Hafthor suspended his athletic activities after tearing a pectoral muscle on April 15, 2023, at a powerlifting competition.

The rehabilitation was successful, and he even showed results. He did not sit still and constantly developed the damaged muscle. Now Hafthor can easily bench press 290 kg, which already proves his relative recovery.

Hafthor Björnsson is a versatile athlete. In his life, he was giving up the title of Iceland’s strongest man, and then he switched to boxing. Even there, he was able to get a win over the other world’s strongest man in March 2022.
