Iryna Dombrovska

Iryna Dombrovska, born May 16th, 2004, is a Ukrainian weightlifter competing in the 76-77 kg categories. Known for her rapid rise through youth and U23 competitions, she has quickly established herself as one of Ukraine’s most promising female lifters.

Dombrovska began competing internationally at the junior and U23 level, showing early promise in European events. Her breakthrough came in 2025 at the European U23 Weightlifting Championships, where she lifted 108 kg in snatch to win gold, followed by a 122 kg clean&jerk, finishing fourth in that discipline. Her combined total of 230 kg earned her silver in the total, marking her as one of Europe’s top young lifters in her weight class.

In 2025, Iryna made her mark at senior-level competitions. At the European Championships, she lifted 105 kg in snatch to claim silver in that discipline and 124 kg in clean&jerk, placing 5th in the clean&jerk and 4th in total with 229 kg. Later that year, at the World Weightlifting Championships, she set new personal bests: snatch 105 kg, clean&jerk 131 kg, total 236 kg, placing among the top 10 internationally. These performances demonstrated that she could successfully transition from U23 to senior competitions while continuing to improve her lifts.

Iryna Dombrovska’s best competition lifts include a 105  kg snatch and 131 kg clean&jerk. At only 21 years old, she is already a European U23 champion, senior European medallist, and rising contender on the world stage. Her technical skill, resilience, and steady progression suggest that she could become one of Ukraine’s leading female weightlifters in senior European and World Championships in the coming years.
